Hell Yeah!!

What am I thankful for? Lots!

Being able to do cool stuff-walking around the US House of Representatives with fellow NYers AND speaking to Chuck D of Public Enemy in one week? Pretty random, I know--but VERY cool, in my opinion.

"How'd you get to do that?" Persistence, patience, and lots of planning, on Balti's and my part.

Check out our interview with Chuck D, debuting tomorrow during our "Lunch Box" programming, ONLY ON c365Radio!

Exclusive programming/c365Radio!

Whew! This month has been a whirlwind; I'm almost done with the amazing interviews Balti was able to get at the Baltimore Comic-Con (many thanks to everyone who took time out of their schedule to take part!) those interviews will air this weekend-promise!

Tonight we've got an exclusive interview from David Daniecki of www.shogunfights.com, who is participating in Maryland's FIRST EVER sactioned MMA bout--tomorrow night in Baltimore (1st Mariner Arena). David's also an accomplished lacrosse player (formerly of the Baltimore Bayhawks), and wrestled for Penn State. If you're a MMA fan, you don't want to miss this interview, and catch the full card at Baltimore's Arena tomorrow night!

We've also got a fresh set from Liberation Dance Party, DC9's Friday night event, which features the lovely, super-talented dj Shannon Stewart-catch the 5-hour track tomorrow night during our "Nightflite" segment, and visit DC9 in DC to check out the awesomeness in person!

Why am I posting this? I just finished working (along with a GREAT team of people) on a part of this project (the book) that will be on tv today at 1 pm--that's pretty damned cool, right?!

and ps:

Fyre Snyder.

SERIOUSLY. Get that guy a hobby, so he'll find something else to do besides 'tinker' with the Skins.

Oof!

It's been a LONG time since I've updated my poor LJ-

Station is going well; we've been busy! A ton of new interviews and mini-sets (for instance, we're currently airing a Faith and the Muse mini-set to ramp up for their new release on 10/31; an interview with the voice of South Carolina's Stingrays hockey; an interview from the Washington Capitals' convention last month with Ted Leonsis and Bettman; and the Ken Gardner interview is airing on Tuesdays)--AND this weekend we'll be airing the exclusive c365Radio interviews from last weekend's Baltimore Comic-Con!

Work is hectic--but good (busy is far better than gossiping about co-workers' nail polish/handbag choices.) FYI, for what it's worth: take a moment to do a wee bit of investigative reporting on your job; if it's not a licensed business you MAY not want to work there (that choice is yours, but being fully informed about your decision is always a smart way to go.)

Cats = loud. But if the meezers aren't happy, no one's happy...so I say 'sing on', loud kitties!

Today's Balti's first day of work at his new j.o.b.! Good luck, and may a million and a half people need your help today--not all at once, but you know what I mean...

Ciao!

Grrrr...

It probably won't be the last time I post about this, but the whole thing is so overwhelmingly shitty I have to process it a little at a time.

So, now I'm pissed at the NFL, and their assumption that we're ALL idiots and this is actually "ok". Regardless of team selected, color of skin, hard-luck childhood, aliens-took-his-brain, whatever crazy story/angle you can come up with; the NFL FAILED. big time.

Very sad-

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090806/ap_on_re_us/us_health_club_shooting

A serious message here: please, if you know someone who fits into this guys' profile (and let's face it, we all do know at least one person like that; maybe not to the same extreme, but this is proof how a little "bitterness" can escalate wayyy outta control!) DO SOMETHING. What can one person do? Try to be a better friend for that person. The laws seem completely powerless to 'turn people in', so maybe some friendship and patience is the way to go.

Unless, of course, they are dinkified beyond belief. Then the only thing you can do is walk away, and hope their ugly and dishonest ways land them in trouble before they really hurt someone or themselves (or need a SECOND court-appointed slap on the wrist.)

Geez people. Honestly!

Disappointed-

But not surprised in the NFL's handling of the "conditional reinstatement" decision. I hope to one day live in a world where business, greed, and doing the RIGHT thing are not separate and distinct things.
